    Overview

    PoliChic Engagement Fund (PCEF), a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization working to engage Texas women in elections and issue advocacy, is looking for an experienced and values-driven individual to join our team as the Social Media Coordinator. The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for elevating PCEF’s mission and impact through social media. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, organized, and passionate about the values, priorities, and goals of the PoliChic Engagement Fund. The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the Deputy Director and communications staff to coordinate PCEF’s social media presence.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with drafting the Fund’s annual social media content calendar
    • Manage PCEF’s social media. Implement tactics to increase the number of followers, deepen engagement, and drive increased traffic to the website
    • Promote PCEF’s events through online community calendars, social media outlets, and other digital vehicles
    • Create, produce, and edit content shoots for all platforms to capture regular new content, working with staff, volunteers, and outside consultants as needed
    • Develop evaluation tools and metrics to assess the effectiveness of current tools and methods, and identify areas for improvement
    • Monitor analytics and set specific goals and objectives, reporting weekly on social performance and identifying growth opportunities
    • Perform other related duties as needed

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
    • 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or equivalent field
    • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and tracks of work while balancing results, process, and relationships
    • Professionalism and flexibility amid competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-need, and results-driven environment
    • Ability to work with team members in-person and remotely, as well as to work independently and as part of a team
    • Demonstrated personal initiative and entrepreneurial attitude
    • Strong verbal and written communication ability, attention to detail
    • Proficient in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, and social media management and marketing tools such as Hootsuite, HubSpot, and SproutSocial
    • Some graphic design and/or photo and video editing knowledge preferred
    • Ability and interest in limited travel
